Is anyone still seeing this issue after today's patch?
Bugs I have discovered since High school Years dropped-
There were other things, but I am a little angry now to think of them all.
And yes, no mods or CC, deleted localthumbcache.package, yada yada, no luck.

For the blank tool tips you're seeing- that issue typically happens due to outdated mods. Are you sure you've removed all mods/CC from your game? If so, please try the suggested steps in the thread here and let me know how that works for you.
For the other issues, would you please attach some screenshots to your post?
Thank you @EA_Solaire, I am going to go back and try some other things. Yes I started with a clean Mods folder.
I have done some reading on other posts, I purchased the pack from Steam, and it is missing a string file. I have contacted Steam support and sent them the below message:
"The download from Steam for Sims 4 High School Years is missing an important file, causing issues with game play. This is an error on your end, with the patch downloaded from you. The file is called Strings_ENG_US.package, and is missing from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\EP12. all other EP's have this file. It is a necessary file in order for critical elements to work in the game. Please provide a resolution to this (a fixed download pushed out) and advise me of the resolution."
If you guys at EA can have our backs and advise Steam from your end, that they need to fix this and push out a fix, that would be fantastic! <3
Exact issue, never use CC or mods. I did use steam.

Having the exact same issue, also bought from Steam.
In addition to other issues this one is perhaps the worst. I have zero text prompts for HSY. The button comes up but there's no text. So when I try to use social bunny, I have no idea what button does what. At the thrift shop I can see the food and drink icon but not the name so my vegetarians both became ill. At the clothing rack I got 2 options but I have no idea what for as... there was no text. I got an invite, didn't know where, clicked a blank button only to wind up at prom ever the goals of prom had no text in the goal box. Anything and everything related to this pack has no script text.
The world isn't even titled when I hover over the school it doesn't say school I just have a blank white button. So I can't play it if I very well don't know what anything is even it's a blank white button and zero descriptions or text appear.
Additionally my bb for HSY is all debug
Hi recently brought the new expansion, high school years and have encountered 3 major bugs- 1. the new traits and aspirations have no names 2. every new build item is called **debug** 3. every action and every new job and every new sentence is missing the words. just replaced with a blank space or "..." sort of unplayable now. (Playing on laptop, bought on steam)
Same issue, blank tooltips, placeholder names for the premade households and empty lot names for the new lot types plus neighborhoods.
Updated CC, removed CC, repaired game and nothing, thanks @FeverishEU for figuring out it's because of the missing string file. I also bought the EP through steam and it's quite clearly bugged.
