Hi!
I've followed all the suggestions I've seen posted in this thread and I'm still having the same issue. Here's what I've tried so far:
-removing all mods and cc
-repairing the game in Steam
-changing the languages several times
-a full uninstall and reinstall
-repairing and launching from Origin instead of Steam
The proper String file is in the EP12 folder and I've tried repairing, reinstalling, etc. and nothing seems to help. There's still no text for the entire new pack which obviously means it's unplayable. Is anyone else still having the same issue? Does anyone have any further suggestions?

Hello @xoxogossiphobbit
- What language is Steam in?
- What language is Origin in?
- What language are you attempting to run the game in?

Hi there!
Steam, Origin, and the game are all set to US English. The string file in the EP12 folder is also US English.

Hello.
If you're experiencing missing text with the High School Years DLC, and are unable to fix it through previous troubleshooting, you can try to place the appropriate string file for the language that you want into the proper folder.
For Origin:
\Origin Games\The Sims 4\EP12\For EA App:
\EA Games\The Sims 4\EP12\For Steam:
\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\EP12\I've placed string files for the High School Years DLC here if you need them:

Well, I don't know if this would help, but it helped me.
- Back up your saves. Just move the whole save directory to another location and rename it. Don't copy, just move it (the game will recreate what it needs).
- Do a complete uninstall, reboot your computer.
- Reinstall and create a new game to test with.
- When I did this I got partial text - text on the neighborhood and catalog items, but not houses.
- Maybe even open the English string file (with some package editor, like Sims 4 Studio or something), see if there's content in it.
- If there isn't, replace it with the string file @SimQARobo mentioned earlier.
- If that works, then restore your saves.
- This didn't fix the new test game for me, but it did fill the text in for me in my old saves.
Again, don't know if that will help, but it worked for me. Good luck!
- 3 years ago@TheHouseOfBacon Hey, thanks so much for your suggestion!!
I just tried this and unfortunately it didn't help either! I guess my best hope is to sit tight and hope that next week's patch manages to fix the issue. Bummer, but at least the Sims team and community has been super responsive and helpful.
If something changes, I'll post here just in case it ends up being helpful for anyone else.- crinrict3 years agoHero+@xoxogossiphobbit Did you try downloading the files Robo linked above and adding those to your game
