What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them. I own everything.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the Stuck in their Shadows Scenario. Reject Lewis to the point that he comes in his space suit. Listen to Lewis's Proposal. Become his enemy. Keep working until you are promoted to Startup Entrepreneur or eSports Gamer. Choose one of the tracks. At this point, the scenario should finish.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing happens. The scenario does not finish.
What do you expect to see? I expect the scenario to finish.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I've run through the scenario several times to try to figure out what happened. I was frustrated coming here to learn that it was supposedly fixed in a patch in January and that the thread was closed.
I did find a "solution," and I wanted to share in case others were experiencing it and sharing my frustration.
I found that if I saved and exited right before Nova came home from work with the promotion, then came back, the scenario would end properly.
If I did not save and exit (i.e., just kept playing), she'd get the promotion but the scenario would not complete, even after several more in-game days of play.
I had some friends try in their games, and they experienced the same.
I'm not looking for a solution at this point for myself, although EA may want to look into it. I'm just trying to share information to help ease the frustration of others. It's a long scenario (and a very good one, I might add) to get to that point and then be thwarted.
