I have a family from two teens, and when I tried to change their clothes I receive a message about required adults. But I haven't adults, they died. Is there some cheat to edit character clothes without this check?
EA_Francois, nope, cheats doesn't helps. There extended CAS is opened with the same limitation as default one.
>>"to live on your own as a teen"
I'm started with two sisters. They born childs in the end of adult age. And when they die childs was only a teens. Actually only one of them was a teen, second was a baby yet.
So I receive a family with two teens only and CAS can't accept changes.

I honestly think it's a bug.
Teens/kids should not be able to live alone
I do have a thread on that on the bug forum if you want me to move your report.

IMO, teens and kids living on their own should not be considered a bug... It's the logical solution if all parents/adults on the lot die. It was allowed in all previous versions of the sims as far as I know (definitely for teens in TS2 and TS3, and children in The Sims).

No, if a child was the alone the social worker came to take it.
The problem here is that it's not the same throughout the game. You can't make them in CAS living on their own and because of that, they can't be edited in CAS if the parents died. So I do believe it was not intended that they can even live alone.

I'll move this to the bugs reports section and escalate it, I'm not sure what the intended behavior of the game is when there are not either just young children left (in which case Child Protection Services would come take care of them) or any adults.
- Anonymous11 years agoAh damn I see crin is already on the case. Care to point me towards that thread, @crinrict ? 🙂
