Toddlers were all looking a little too similar to each other. Now, they’ll reflect their parents and account for genetics.

@crinrict no mods or cc and worked without this issue before updating yesterday.
@crinrict attached a few to this post. all toddler facial features remain the same even when playing different families. probably doesn’t look TOO weird to someone who’s not familiar with the families, but it seems like toddler genetics are essentially not working or changing — even when randomizing in CAS. they appear to be “stuck” on the same presets for every toddler.

So wait, even the bug reporting section is bugged? Good lord EA can you do anything right? By the way, what is "pff"? Is that some new internet slang that I should know, like when people use "AF" instead of... well crap I can't say that can I?
In all seriousness, I personally haven't noticed a significant difference. Then again to be fair, I've always felt like toddlers and children all looked too similar to being with. Even before any recent updates I've had multiple times where I could have toddlers/children from separate pregnancies that looked like they could be twins, just for them to look drastically different as teens. I've just always felt that the genetics in this game were weird, and also a bit lazy and lacking especially in the younger life stages. After seeing this topic I will keep an eye out on my sims' potential toddlers though, just to see if I actually notice anything all that different.
Hey @crinrict Do you know if this is getting investigated? It is indeed removing the joy of playing a legacy at all, big part of the fun is to see how the offspring turns out and seeing this toddler face bug is so gutting ☹️ It's hard to relate to that Sim as it doesn't feel like it's the right child.. I really hope this is actively getting investigated, there are so many people playing legacies, and it's a real turn-off to play ☹️
