[FIXED] Toddlers not receiving Top Notch/Happy Toddler traits on aging up

I actually have the same issue, however, I noticed my sims get the happy toddler trait after they aged up to a young adult. They did not get the happy toddler trait when they aged up from Toddler to Child or from Child to Teen, but it appeared when they aged from Teen to Young Adult. Previously sims would get the happy toddler or top-notch toddler trait when aging into a Child, but I think they changed this after the High School update. 

@Elaineg567Was this with non-occult sims? I just tried it with a toddler that should get the Happy Toddler trait and she didn't get it at any step (including Young Adult). Re-tried with a toddler with full skills. The same. Tried it with a sim that completed a childhood aspiration and a teen aspiration: same, they didn't get the trait on age up.

Was there something special or particular about the toddler that you say got the trait on age-up to young adult?

Did they ever provide a solution? The same thing has been happening to me on the PS5.

There wasn't anything special about my sims. They were normal sims, not any occult types. I'm doing the 100-baby challenge and all of them get the happy toddler trait when they age into a Young Adult now. I've probably aged up 8 sims like that. 

I've been having issues with that, too. When I saw that, I use my UI cheats mod and add the happy toddler or top notch toddler trait on my kid. It's definitely a glitch if it's been happening since the big update, because I had no toddlers age up to kids before that point and everything was fine. I think it's best to use cheat codes to add the trait and wait until EA fixes the issue.

I just noticed this last night, and the trait is missing from both kids in that save who aged up from toddler since the update. The one who was already a child still has it from before.

After noticing, I loaded the save I had been playing last week, and all of those kids are missing the bonus toddler trait as well. They definitely maxed their toddler skills, since they live in a tiny house. 

After reading this thread, I just loaded the save with the 2 child sims who were missing the trait, and quickly aged both up to YA to test. Neither of them got a toddler trait at any point during aging. Both definitely should have top-notch toddler. 

I play on PS5, so no mods or anything that could mess with it. 

Edit to add that they are not occults, just standard sims.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I got a lot of packs. Mostly only the older ones. The only new pack I got was the werewolf game pack. But the bug is base game related.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It may only occur with the scenario I was playing with. It was in my special scenario save file. It was the proud parent scenario. It was also in my long life span save. I did turn the aging of right after I found out about the other aging bug. So after I got all the toddler skills to max of both the 2 toddlers I aged them upp together with 2 cakes. I got the menu were I could choose their child aspirations and their traits. But not the bonus trait. All the child skills they got were at the end of lv 2. And it looked like the scenario was thinking my sims wer already a teen. Because the last task was already finished. Being friend with the parent as a teen without a grude. But they were just a child.
What happens when the bug occurs? After the toddlers blew out the candles of the cakes, they walked to a place outside for space to age up to. They aged up and the menu of choosing a trait and Aspiration pups up. But I don't recal of seeing somthing like a bonus trait. After choosing their aspiration and trait, I went to look at their traits. But only their choosen trait was there. No Top-Notch Toddler by both of the Toddlers. But they got al their child skills at almost max lv 2.
What do you expect to see? That the special trait (Top-Notch Toddler)was gifted to the toddler after aging to a child(all the toddler skills were maxed out)

I was playing the proud parent scenario is a save file I play al my scenarios at. I had the life span on long. But when I came back too it after some update, I saw that they were almost aging up. All 4 of my sims, so I stopped the aging in the menu.

This way I could max all the toddler skills without the toddler aging up on their own. I was playing with 2 toddler twins. So when both toddlers maxed their skills, I aged them both up together with 2 different cakes.

I got the pop up menu after the toddlers aging to choose an aspiration and a trait. So i did that with both the children. I do not recal having some pop up about having a bonus trait. I was a bit confused about it, so I went to check it out and did not find anny other trait than the choosen one. Both of the toddlers did not get the Top-Notch Toddler trait. All their child skills were at the end of lv 2 after aging. 

I did got a pop up that the last part of the scenario was done. Be great friends with your teen. But they are still children. 

I just speed ran raising a toddler, created after the HSY patch. All skills at 5; after aging up, no top notch or happy toddler trait. I'm on Mac, in a save that has never had mods in it.

Note the next day: trait still doesn't show after aging up from child to teen (someone said theirs appeared later), though child aspiration trait applied successfully.
