I also have this issue and AMD.
I just did a brief run through of the trees from Build Mode in my game and the following are the only ones with correct shadows:
Dancing Maples: I think these are from Get to Work, Lilacs and Lanterns from Movie Hangout, and the tree that lights up from the free Holiday pack.
Also there's two large spruce trees in Forgotten Hollow from Vampires that seem to be fine. Those spruce trees are trees that are world objects that I've unlocked in Build/Buy. All of the other trees show winter shadows regardless of the season.
I didn't take any screenshots, since it didn't seem necessary as there's already pictures of the problem posted here, but I can take some if needed.

For reference, here's screenshot I took on April 20th. You can clearly see that the shadows being cast (on the right and left sides of the frame) have leaves. I haven't changed any settings since then or altered my game in any way. In fact, I went on a 2 month hiatus shortly after this was taken and didn't play the game at all. The only thing that changed was the updates.

@T0RN_x The shadows you're seeing in winter in the screenshot you shared are normal for the winter season. The problem we're all having in this thread is that those winter shadows display all year long when they shouldn't.
Could you verify that you're still seeing winter shadows during summer like the thread title states. Also if you haven't already, it would help a lot if you clicked Me Too on the first post.
