@SimQARobo While it isn't something that directly affects gameplay, it definitely detracts from the overall game experience, breaking immersion and ruining screenshots (especially if you are a builder). I'm very active on Twitter, and I know there are more people affected by this issue than the 15 people who have clicked Me Too on this thread - I've been doing my best to direct them here. Since it was introduced in this patch: UPDATE: 07/31/2018 - PC 1.45.62.1020/ Mac 1.45.62.1220 and seems to only be affecting AMD GPUs utilizing different driver versions- is there anything more that can we do to help you and your team facilitate a fix for this bug?
Currently no. The issue is still on our radar (we can see the issue ourselves on specific graphics cards). However, I don't have an ETA for resolution at this time.

Thank you for the response @SimQARobo. It seems to me that it's just AMD cards on Windows. I've seen a few Mac users with AMD posting recently and their tree shadows look normal. I just hope a fix is planned at some point, because the trees look terrible, and it's really upsetting trying to build and you can't judge where shade from trees will be cast.
Also, I think it's interesting that it doesn't affect all trees. I have a Base Game tree on a lot next to the Movie Hangout tree with lanterns, and the tree from Movie Hangout is casting the proper shadows. It has to be something related to Seasons, specifically.

I feel like there's an idea going around in here that this is a "small" issue because it's "cosmetic". But it's very noticeable everywhere you go in-game. It stands out like a dead pixel on a monitor or a crack across a phone screen. It's one of those things that, once you see it, it's kind of all you see. At the very least it totally ruins immersion - which is something that should have been enhanced by Seasons.

It's definitely not a small issue to me. In the beginning, I thought it was a random glitch on my end and it would go away eventually as the seasons reset. Now it's annoying as all get out, because it just looks terrible, and I can't help but notice it everywhere.
If people can pitch a fit about their screenshots being upside down, then I think it's okay to be upset when nearly all the trees in the game are essentially broken. I'm not trying to downplay other players issues, but I think trees being as they are for us is just a bit worse than a screenshot being upside down. At least those folks can fix that. Unlike this problem.
I will continue to comment here until the issue is fixed. And I hope that it's within the next couple of patches, because it's already gone on long enough. A player shouldn't effectively be punished and denied an element of the game, "cosmetic" or not, simply because of the brand of GPU they use.

@SimQARobo Are you at liberty to say if there are any possible fixes for this issue under consideration? (without discussing any future content, of course) Thanks, and sorry to bug you about this again, I am deciding on if I should buy the new EP or hold off until this issue is resolved. 🙂

I'm praying so hard this is fixed with the big patch coming in November! I'm definitely sticking to my principles and not buying any packs until it's fixed.
