Since today's update, one of my sims cannot interact with the mailbox. Her partner can, and I've removed all mods and still have this issue.
I've tried leaving the lot.
I've tried moving from the lot.
I've reset my sim several times, first by left-clicking, then selecting reset sim. Then, by typing in cheats, testingcheats on and resetsim.
I've removed all mods.
I've tried deleting the mailbox and putting a new one in place (even using various mailboxes, not just the same one).
Below are some screen shots I took showing how one sim can't access the mailbox and the other one can.
I'm not 100% sure if all platforms have rolled out but I'm going to lock this now.
Addressed an issue where Sims that had achieved certain skill levels and had unlocked or crafted specific recipes, or had written music, were then unable to select interactions on themselves, on other Sims, and on certain objects.
What can you do if you still have issues ?
1. Remove all your mods/cc and delete the localthumbcache file. This IS important. Test without them.
2. Repair the game
3. Check your game version. You can find it in the lower right corner of your main menu. It should be: 1.105.332 or 1.88 for console
4. If you still have issues, create a new thread and provide your Sim to the gallery. Make sure to post WHICH objects you still have issues with

There were a lot of threads and some were just turning into collections. I did not read every post in here either so it's possible that strays landed here. If you had a different issue, create a new thread (again, remove your mods/cc first)
I did, in fact. Oddly there seems to be stuff related to music licensing in it, yet this sim had no musical skills. In fact it was a relatively new rags to riches off the grid save so his skills were mostly in gardening, fishing, and cooking. This was a save that had previously had been modded, but i ran into the issue after turning off mods.

Since the latest patch, Sims act like the high chair is blocked for their toddler and won't put her in it to feed her.
I am also experiencing this problem with a Sim in the Civil Designer career, with the Eco Innovator aspiration. She is unable to do anything besides "Get Mail"
ETA: She doesn't have any musical skills whatsoever. Was Level 5 in photography, changed it to lv 3 and it made no difference
I am having the same issue. First, it was just my first sim (I call them head of household) that had this issue and now all of my sims cannot interact with the mailbox. And it is concerning because one of my sims sells books for a living and I don't want him to lose his spotlight waiting for a fix on this.
I deleted my mods to try and fix this and nothing is working.
Same thing started to happen to me last night after updating. I have Seasons, Get to Work, Island Living, Romantic Garden Stuff, Cats & Dogs, and the Desert Luxe kit. I play on xbox series x. Since the update, the only option on the mailbox is the greyed out "Get Mail". Going into Manage Households does nothing.
Im having the same issues and i cant seem to find any thread other than the obvious one of " this isnt working". I even checked the website for sims 4. Im so frustrated as i cant get anything at the mailbox other than pay bills. blurg I hope they fix it sooner than later.
