This issue was resolved in Patch 1.91.205.1020.
With this fix, if you are still having any issues with saving after this update, please report it to the thread here.
I just wanted to come back and comment some more on this. Im not getting any save errors when the issue happens to me. The only error I am getting is a drama node error of some sort (I did post for help in another location). Anyways. I didnt want to do it but the issue got so bad I didnt know what else to and I disabled the high school expansion pack and started a new save. I tested it out by adding a few families and houses then saving and closing the game out. When I turned everything was fine. I then cheated a baby for one of my sims and logged out and back in, everything was fine. So I added a few basic businesses and locations my sims will visit often and logged out and back in, everything was still fine. I did things like travel between lots and enter cas and everything was error free. I hated to start a new save as I'm a legacy style player whose families have huge family trees but I was tired of not being able to progress due to the error. Disabling the high school years pack has seemed to fix the issue in my game.
