Vampire Sims with Full Sun Resistance are now able to properly tend to gardens and not tend to plants one at a time.
Fixed in Patch 1.63.133/ Console 1.25
My sim is a vamp and have exactly the same issue. Also my sim is a grand master vamp and immune to sunlight.
I've changed the title a bit and made this Vampire specific (although my vampires don't seem to care much for this issue and harvest all even in Forgotten Hallow)
If anyone sees it on a non-vampire, let me know
After the last update, they do not work to change the walk. My vampire can only harvest a plant at a time
I have this issue on my vampire as well.
It turns out if you're playing as a vampire, harvest all only seems to work at night-time.
Currently, I have a "Human" Sim Tending Garden (very large), and my Vampire Sim is getting a message No Plants Need Tending. Very frustrating. Luckily, I was able to hire a Gardener with this attempt, so maybe when it comes time to Harvest, I won't get so angry I rage quit the saved game (again).
Saved game with a human and vampire Sim and large garden. Have the Vampire try to tend, and then the Human.
I just had an interesting thing occur in my game.
1) I was actually able to hire a Gardener
But 2) My Vampire was able to begin a Harvest All, and was doing quite well. The Automatic Sprinkler system came on, and half way through the garden, he stopped harvesting. When I attempted to continue to harvest all, he did one plant, and got the message No Plants need Harvesting. Even though I had about 5 more plants with things to harvest still.
You might want to pass that up to the EA folks. Not sure if it's the sprinklers, or if they are part of the issue, but, might be worth looking in to.
Just a friendly FYI, I just pulled my roof out over my garden and my vamp sims are now happily watering, harvesting, etc, entire garden. All vamps are fully sun proofed.
Let me try building a small shelter over the garden. Next time I have harvestables that is. I'm troubleshooting and trying to find ways around way too many bugs in the game.
So far I have been able to Harvest All by building a "greenhouse". Not an easy task, since you have to build the building, then knock the floor out, so the planter boxes don't take up all the room and make it even bigger!
That hasn't been the case in my game at all. It doesn't work day or night consistently. My Vampires also have the perk where they take no damage from the sun.
I just came upon this problem too. Water All, and he just waters one. Sell All, just sells from one... etc.
Edit: I have an update to this that might be relevant to the cause:
I got stuck where I couldn't tend my plants automatically, so had to do them all manually. Then I came upon this Taro Plant that had bugs on it, and so I sprayed it manually and went to water the next plant, and from there on he watered the rest of the whole garden, as if that one bug infested Taro Plant was the blocker.

i could be wrong be it seems that vampires can only harvest all or tend garden at night i did two things i planted new plant with my vampire but didn't harvest till knight so i don't know witch fixed it but it fixed since i'm a day day sleeper i don't know if i can tend or harvest in the day
I just noticed the same issue.
I have three vampire Sims. Two of them live in Newcrest and there seem to be no troubles with harvesting on that lot. The third one lives at Umbrage Manor in Willow Creek. He cannot harvest all, tend garden, or any global gardening command. He has level three resistance to sunlight - but has this problem day or night on his home lot. When he went to the other vampire's location - he could harvest all with no trouble.
yah i don't know it could be i play on xbox one they have a tendency to fix problems all by them self's lol
