Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The June 2018 Seasons patch
The only thing that I saw that may be related aside from the June 2018 update, was at one point a vampire broke into the lots' home before I saved the game. Could that have made my lot haunted or cursed in some way? I tried looking online if that would be the case, but I can find nothing about it or cursed lots. I loaded an earlier game where the lot was not darkened and saved it before un-pausing it, and the lot looks normal on the neighborhood screen. This darkened lot happened after the June 2018 Seasons patch. Just wondering if this is June-2018-update related or vampire related..and how do I reverse it if the latter? Thanks if you can clear up my confusion here.

the large 50 x 50 lot (Oakenstead: upper left) is the lot that darkened

Just tested it again..the glitch happens when you exit the game and choose save and exit. This time I vampire proofed the home with garlic wreaths at all the entryways, and I did not even un pause the game before saving and exiting.
- crinrict8 years agoHero+This is just on map view, right ?
DId you test this without mods as well ? On a new save ?

I think this is connected to the other thread on environmental lighting problems in Willow Creek, because my Oakenstead lot also looked off from map view before I even loaded into it, but so did Cypress Terrace. And it was just those two lots that had strange lighting in my game and only outdoors. The interior lighting was normal.
I was also testing without mods or custom content installed.
- youngshinobi7778 years agoSeasoned Novicethis happens to me as well but also on the top left lot as well. No mods, no cc in my game. I re downloaded the game with all the packs except seasons and the problem disappears but when I add the seasons pack, the problem comes back. I'm upset that a $40 pack is unusable right now.

As I play on in this new save as I set it up for my families the darkened and greenish tinged Oakenstead issue is back. UGH. I am so frustrated. I started so many new games in different seasons to test the problem and for me it didn't present itself right away. I'm playing in Spring and it showed up again last night.
I saw someone report this on Twitter to SimGuru Nick, so I really hope QA does something about this. If you try to redo the outside of a lot there it makes choosing colors for anything nearly impossible.

the issue for a darkened lot in the map view does not happen if you exit without saving. It only happens for me when I choose the "save and exit" option

I had some trouble with the top left lot in Willow Creek Philip. It had a bug when I bulldozed that lot, and when I tried to place a structure from the gallery..the whole game bugged out (the vegetation everywhere vanished). Cant find that thread...but I posted about it
