[FIXED] Wrong Creators name in the gallery

@Crincrit: I never noticed this before. The first time I saw this was on May. 1st, when I just finished my house. I took a screenshot of it. 

This is why I remember the exact date.

@BryonyRae: No, it isn't on the gallery. I built it for the download section on our website but I don't think it is in there until yet. I could just send

the Tray files for it.

This happened to me, too. It's annoying because troll-y types immediately accused me of not actually building the house, which was a bruise to the ego haha.

I wonder if it could have anything to do with working on builds that haven't come from the Gallery, since it sounds like you are working directly with the tray files themselves.  I have still yet to ever experience this, but then I only download from and upload to the Gallery.  And even though you are using minimal CC, I wouldn't rule that out as a factor.  If anyone following the thread has experienced this after bulldozing a build they'd downloaded from the Gallery, please let us know which lot you downloaded and if possible, the exact steps you took.

Hi! I keep building houses and saving them, however for some of the houses it comes up with 'original by:___', even though it was empty land when I started building the house myself, completely from scratch and without putting any downloaded houses/rooms onto it. How do I get rid of this 'original by:', if I upload it, I don't want people to think I had re-uploaded somebody elses work! Thank you 🙂

Mine was the same where I think I had placed a downloaded house onto the plot but then bulldozed it and a few days/weeks later used the same, now empty plot of land to build my own design and once I save my design it comes up as saying it was originally by ____, who was the creator of the bulldozed downloaded house. Annoying!

But I found just then that if I changed the name of the house/land in the drop down menu where you add the bedrooms/bathrooms and change the lot type (residential or whatnot) and then tried saving it again as a new house (not overwriting the other one which says 'original by:'), then it was all good and originally mine! However, I don't know if that is what effected it or not... 

@rosemow sent me to this post to report this bug. I downloaded a lot from the gallery along with several other lots. This took place around 6/20/15, roughly. I believe that was before the release of the spa EP. That's when I started to notice all sorts of weirdness in the game. Remembering that it could always be the last thing added to the game, I began bulldozing those new lots which I placed in Newcrest. I did recently notice that the flopped map in Newcrest had been corrected but this was realized after I bulldozed those lots.

I began building anew and when I went to upload it to the gallery, I saw it was credited to the builder whose lot/house I razed. I looked for other simmers posts to see if there was a solution. None was found.

What I did was to save each of the 31 "rooms" to my saved rooms folder and was able to reconstruct the house on another lot. It is not credited to the previous builder. I was able to place the house on the originally intended lot.

I think bulldozing the lot several times helped, too. I hope this will help anyone who is dealing with this issue. Thanks for reading.

I still have been unable to duplicate this issue, but I can perhaps provide a helpful tip for people going forward.  After you bulldoze the lot, you can check to see whether the bulldoze "took" by hitting the Save to My Library button.  You don't have to actually save it, but if the bulldoze was successful, you should no longer see the property name of the build you had originally placed there; it should switch back to the default name.  And if you want to be absolutely certain, then go ahead and complete the save and then check in your library - the original by should be blank.

I'd like to add my voice to those who are having this problem. In my case it is also a Newcrest lot on which I had previously had placed a lot I had downloaded from the gallery. I then bulldozed it and built my own house. It wasn't until I actually uploaded it to the gallery that I noticed that somebody else was credited in the 'Original By' tag. At that stage I removed it from the gallery but it was there long enough to have a few downloads.
