[FIXED] [XB/PS] Can't raise or Lower walls/Toggle floor (D-Pad Patch)

@FinalBossNyuma You will have to accept the user agreement and redo all your universal game settings. It's not related to your saves.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.39
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except bust the dust kit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into CAS, either from a household or from neighbourhood
What happens when the bug occurs? Once I come out of CAS and back into a household I cannot use the arrow buttons to move to different floors of my house or select different household members
What do you expect to see? The buttons should work as normal
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I installed the most recent sims 4 patch

Upon exiting CAS and entering a household I cannot use arrow buttons to select household members or select different floors of my house. The only way to fix it is to completely restart my game.
The arrow buttons work perfectly fine while in menus and neighbourhoods so its not a controller issue

  @xjodielaura Aside from the functions that you say no longer worked upon exiting CAS, were you still able to do simple, one-click actions with the X button, or tab down to the lower menus such as the phone with the rectangular Touch button? Do you remember if you were capable of doing something like travelling to a new lot, for example, if you’d wanted to do so?

  I had this exact problem last night and it was beyond frustrating, but at that point I couldn't find any reports about it so here I am.
  I can absolutely confirm that upon exiting CAS, the D-pad stops functioning at the very very least in Live Mode when trying to switch between floors, raise/lower walls, and page through the list of sims. It DOES function on the pause menu, though I never did get back to check if it worked for the phone menu or pie menus for interactions or other such things in Live Mode. I was able to use the pause menu with the D-pad to switch to another household, and it wasn't working there either, so it's certainly not exclusive to one lot and can't be refreshed by loading another family.
  The only solution I found as well was to completely restart my game.

What happens when the bug occurs? I can’t toggle the walls or floors in a restaurant I don’t own, and I can’t walk up stairs in the restaurant
What do you expect to see? To be able to toggle up to the second floor and walk up the stairs
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.

  @LTWMonkey For the floor toggle, can you please try to delete you Userdata file in your saves folder. Reboot your system afterwards.

I have the same issue. And for me it's unplayable because the show/hide walls and upstairs/downstairs features doens't work once I go to Eco Lifestyle world. Basically if I want to play I need to start a new save and never put foot in Evergreen Harbor.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into your lot and try to put the walls up or down and try to switch floors.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can’t put any walls up or down and I can’t switch between floors.
What do you expect to see? The walls should go up or down and I should be able to switch between floors at any given point while on the lot.

Ever since the new update, I haven’t been able to put my walls down or up on my lot, nor have I been able to switch floors like normal. Don’t know what’s going on.

  I have the same issues on PS4. For me the issues occur sometimes, haven’t been able to figure out what triggers them yet.

    @mnon11 Please share your PS4 save as requested. The marked post in this thread has directions for a fix and save share instructions. D-Pad controls stop working

I feel like I should not delete anything SIMS 4 needs to have another update to fix this

no issues or negative effects at all. no packs are deleted and all saved games are still there.

@FinalBossNyuma If you delete the user data within storage system settings (it's separate from save data) I've deleted it multiple times and what it does is resets thinks like the user agreement, acts like you installed the packs for the first time and every item is new again. It's a best a temporary fix but I've found that even just restarting the game will fix the Dpad issue until it happens again.
