While cooking, the shoulder buttons (PlayStation - L1/R1, Xbox - LB/RB) will switch between recipe filters as expected.
Fixed in Patch 1.102.190/1.82

ETA: have tried with a different stove and that works but all fridges seem to not respond to L1/R1 navigation but stoves do

This issue is related to a bug we're investigating with the shoulder bumpers on console controllers at the moment.
The bumpers will work when you first open the new cooking UI, but once you move up or down in the UI they become unresponsive until you leave and reopen the cooking UI.

I don’t really respond on these sorta things but I’m at a point with sims where I’m just fed up of the glitches on Xbox. Normally I can just handle it but this one has to be the most frustrating one. I have installed the new update however as I come to select the food item I want to make whether that be on the stove or the oven my sims interact for a few seconds then freeze and then does not complete the action. I can’t even get them to resume it and it completely falters whatever action it does. I haven’t seen it glitch like this prior to the update but please fix it.
I can't seem to figure out how to navigate/access the New cooking sorti menu on the PS4. Am I dumb? or is it broken?

I should've stayed with base game. As a console player I've bought almost every DLC spent well over $700. They really need to get it together and test these things better. I doubt I will be investing in the next game...as this game has been a disaster from the start. Hope they fix it soon I guess.
