I could have but since I sold the building, I can't access it as a landlord
So far yes. It was my 1st rental property. I have a second property now & that seems to be fine, except when I use the "travel to unit" button on the "owned businesses" tab then it didn't allow me to knock but, I live in the same building so I just went home and visited the tenant by clicking the front door.
This is happening to me too, but I am on a PC. My Sim landlord lives on the same lot as his tenants. There is currently a maintenance event taking place in a tenant's unit, but my landlord cannot access. I have tried visiting the unit by clicking on in and choosing to visit there. I have also traveled to the unit from within the residential rentals owned businesses menu. I tried moving my landlord off the lot and then visiting from his new home lot. Each time I was unable to knock on the door. I was given the option to "Switch to control this household" or "Lock door for." I can see inside the house and select objects to be repaired, but as my Sim approaches the front gate, he will wave and indicate that he cannot access the object.
Yeah I couldn't find the item that needed fixing during an event the other day. It's quite frustrating.
