Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By trying to enter a rental property as a property owner.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I travel to do an inspection on a unit in a property I own, it will not let me enter the property. I can see inside it, and when I try and click on something to inspect, my sim will not enter the apartment.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to enter the apartment and do an inspection.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

The sim gets the bubble with the x mark over the footsteps. It happens for all the apartments. I’m not familiar with the file you are referring to. I simply took all the items out of the mod folder. Would that file have been in the same folder? Sorry… not very tech savvy…
The interactions on the door were only to switch to that household.
I have this problem also, but I found if I teleport past the door into the apartment then the proper conversation bubble comes up to Knock n the door and they let you in. Hope this helps.
This is a great! While it doesn't solve the issue it lets me work around it. Did not know about this cheat so super grateful. The door to the apartment still only has the option to switch to the household, but at least I can do some maintenance in the meantime.
