This is happening to me too, but I am on a PC. My Sim landlord lives on the same lot as his tenants. There is currently a maintenance event taking place in a tenant's unit, but my landlord cannot access. I have tried visiting the unit by clicking on in and choosing to visit there. I have also traveled to the unit from within the residential rentals owned businesses menu. I tried moving my landlord off the lot and then visiting from his new home lot. Each time I was unable to knock on the door. I was given the option to "Switch to control this household" or "Lock door for." I can see inside the house and select objects to be repaired, but as my Sim approaches the front gate, he will wave and indicate that he cannot access the object.

I have this problem also, but I found if I teleport past the door into the apartment then the proper conversation bubble comes up to Knock n the door and they let you in. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone, For some reason my landlord sims can't knock on their tenants doors? I specifically visited the tenant but my sim can't enter their home. I can see inside their home but I can't remove doors or outer walls.I don't have any mods or other CC...

I have this problem also, but I found if I teleport past the door into the apartment then the proper conversation bubble comes up to Knock n the door and they let you in. Hope this helps.

This is a great! While it doesn't solve the issue it lets me work around it. Did not know about this cheat so super grateful. The door to the apartment still only has the option to switch to the household, but at least I can do some maintenance in the meantime.

Thank you for taking the time to help. I have PMed you the save (hope I did it right...) Is maintenance something you can only do during a maintenance event? I just got the pack so I am just figuring out how it goes. I simply traveled to the tenants from the property owner link and wanted to go inside to do inspections to raise the rating.

So I tested the save and when I travel to a lot, this is what shows up on the door for my game. None of this are present. Once I knock, I get let it and then the options all disappear and it's only switch. So it's like the game thinks you're already in the house but actually not.

I have no mods and I'm having this same issue, only with 2 apartments so far. I can't get in to perform maintenance.

Does the property owner live in the same building or another ?

I am also having this issue. I have several lots, with units ranging from 1 to 4 per property. I have 1 lot where I am unable to access only 1 unit. No matter how I travel to the property and can never access that unit. Clicking the door (if it shows up, there is a glitch that causes doors and windows to appear as blank spaces about 80% of the time) only yields the option to change control to that household. I am unable to do normal maintenance or any event on that unit only. I have no mods and I am on PC.
