I had another instance of pristine/dry laundry that couldn't be put away. This time, the laundry was in the dryer, after the dryer (which was in a shared space) had been destroyed in a fire and replaced by the property owner. (The washer, which was also destroyed in the fire and replaced, was empty, and used, dry laundry showed up in my sim's inventory.)
After putting the pristine, dry laundry down, I was able to drag it into a hamper.
Just realized that this time, and I think last time, I couldn't put clean/dry laundry away, I had switched to the property owner to buy the washer and dryer, so maybe that is why I couldn't put it away? It wasn't my machine?
@richvhI encountered this a few times on PC before For Rent, when using laundry machines at a community lot ( cafe as a laundrymat ) which was as simple as leaving to fix. ( Yep, I left the lot with laundry behind and it would show up in inventory as either clean and dry or needing dried. :-/ But show up it always did! 🙂 ) Out of curiosity have you tried leaving the lot to another then coming home? It's annoying and a huge bug if normal in For Rent obviously but curious if that may work for now?
P.S. I had one rental as tenent myself, and with personal washer / dryer never had the issue. I did have the landlord come in and load up THEIR stuff in my machine. I ignored that as just them being them. She got awfully friendly on coming in. lol ( I found that was caused by my basket somehow. After I moved it, assuming, that had something to do with it I never saw that again. Or maybe it was all my laundry, I am not even sure. But yeah, she came in and did some laundry. 😉
