[FR] Wallpapers vanish when visiting rental lots

My wallpaper keeps disappearing in rental units when I switch to live mode. The wallpaper is visible when editing the property in build mode/ manage worlds, but when I visit the lot in live mode, all wallpaper is gone, and the walls are completely white.

Thanks for responding, this is with mods, although the wallpaper being used is just normal sims 4 wallpaper.

@PatternMoth If you remove all mods does it work? Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

@JenExell This for For Rent rentals or vacation rentals as well ?

As you say it doesn't happen with every rental, did you test multiple save games ?

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything but Batuu and a few kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Buy a rental unit and visit it to do maintenance.
What happens when the bug occurs? There's no wall coverings like paint, wallpaper, etc.. on the walls in the rental units. Sims get the ugly decorated buff.
What do you expect to see? I expect wall coverings.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

There's no wall coverings in rental units after the Lovestruck patch.

@crinrict residential rental don't display wall covering while vacation rentals do. The attached photos are labeled.

It's been a while since this post was created, but I just found out I have this problem too. I took out all the mods, cleaned all cache, repaired the game - sadly it didn't help ☹️

I had this problem today too, I don’t know if you’ve solved it by now but what worked for me was getting rid of the landlord. (making the landlord sell the property so that no one owns it and it’s just being rented out by tenants), hope this helps x
