[ARCHIVED] Front door changes

Yes it actually changes and I have to reset the front door as the front door. It is a resident lot, the biggest lot in the the horse ranch world.

when it changes the sims will walk through the front door and through the house to the back door, then the”return home” action goes away and they continue with their lives

This has been happening across multiple save files and for at least a few weeks. I have officially gotten frustrated enough to post it here.

This keeps happening with the houses where I have a barn or shed or some kind. In this situation, it always defaults to the barn/shed door as the front door, so I have to select 'Set as Front Door' to fix this. The problem is that if I leave the lot and return or when I first start the game, the front door has switched back to the barn/shed door. This is especially annoying if I don't notice or forget to check, and then neighbors are knocking on the wrong door.

The final straw that made me post this was just now, the barn was set as the front door, and when I went to the actual front door, I didn't even have the 'Set as Front Door' option coming up.

Hey, Sims, can we please fix this glitch? I know it's small, but it drives me nuts.

Anyone else have this problem lately? I think it started one or two updates ago.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

I am also having issues with 'set as front door' on console and without a barn placed. Game keeps changing which door is my front door when I reload the lot 

This is an old bug that seems to have reemerged.  My sim is currently living in a house where the front door is on the second floor. However, the ground level has a door as well. Sometimes when I travel or first load up the game the door will reset to the ground level door being the "front door." This does not happen every single time I travel or first load up a game though. It's weirdly random. 

This is happening to me as well. It sometimes happens while I'm on the the lot. I know that I have set the upper door as the front door, but it will switch randomly while I'm on the lot to the lower door. It's making having a carriage style home very irritating for no reason!

I've also had this issue since the For Rent pack came out. If there are two doors to the outside, the back door is set as the front door (and visitors walk through the house to knock on the back door). When I set the front door as the front door, it reverts to the back door almost immediately. I've also had an issue with the Pinecrest apartments in Evergreen Harbour. The front door of Pinecrest #404 is set as the balcony door, so when the sims living there are noisy, my sim living in Pinecrest #402 cannot bang on the door becasue she cannot get onto the balcony.
