Feedback for the Sims team as consideration:
With the new system we have lost some use cases for filter search, I hope they consider adding a checkbox to choose between the old inclusive search and the new exclusive search:
1. When a new pack comes out it was really helpful to be able to filter for that pack to see all the inspiring creations of the community using it in combination with other packs. Now there is no way to find these anymore, I can only find builds that limit the use to just 1 pack, which is barely any builds. What I would like to be able to see is this pack + any others.
2. When wanting to find builds that use a combination of packs, for example I love the homechef kitchens and tick that but also want the build to use the nice dark crystal creations items, I tick this too, and I was able to then even add a hashtag like playtested to find all the best playtested builds with my favourite styles included, in addition to other packs (given it is impossible to predict all the exact packs builders could choose for their build). It is impossible now to reach such a helpful search result anymore. Now the filters only cater for users that would most likely just use the “show owned packs” option.
3. It is impossible now to do such a simple search like finding all retails that sell lovestruck items: Now if I filter for lovestruck pack + retail lot type I get only a handful BG results as retails need GTW, but if I add GTW filter I only see GTW retails without LS 😞
The previous search was a lot more versatile and helpful. Please consider bringing it back as a choice with a little checkbox or a search type like we have that drop down for “owned pack”, “base game” “custom” 🙏🏻
I don't think there's any need for that, as you can still find those retails by just searching with #lovestruck .They just need to add base game to the filters tab in order to show selected packs creations while excluding ones that just use base game.
