Get to Work not able to follow sims to work

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.91.205.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to work, city living, vampires, parenthood
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? get to work expansion pack
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't follow my sim to work even though I have Get to Work installed. The game doesn't even ask me whether I want to follow my sim to work or not and I have enabled the question already.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to follow my sim to work in those 3 jobs get to work pack enables you to.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

    @beyzahostan How many days have you played ? The first one is sometimes just rabbithole depending on the time you start with the career.

    DId you repair your game ?

    @crinrict It has been a couple of days, actually and I am still not able to follow my sim. Thank you for replying!

    HSY changed the career panel and added a new feature that allows you to turn off the follow to school popups for teens.  It continues to be there after teens age up and it does appear to affect the GTW careers.  I tested with a Scientist and if Enable Follow Messages is off, you will not get the popups to follow a sim to work.  It has to be set to On for you to get them.  See the attached pic.

    So, take a look at your sim's career panels to see if it is set to On or Off.  In my game, the default setting appears to be On, and I have to turn it Off so I don't get the popups.  Have you turned it off by chance?

    @crinrict I think it's a general issue. I bought and downloaded High School Years and realised I can't follow my sim to school.
