[GF] Celestial Crystal Crown: Losing crystals when switching crystals

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? sims 4 1.71.86.1020 (64 but)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Moschino. I also have the Bust the Dust and Country Living tips.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Purchase the Celestial Crown. Obtain at least two crystals. Click on one of the crystals in your inventory and select Mount. Then do the same thing with the other crystal, without removing the first one.
What happens when the bug occurs? The first crystal disappears permanently.
What do you expect to see? The first crystal should either return to the sim’s inventory or fall into the world. Alternatively, the “mount crystal” option could simply be unclickable if there is a crystal in the crown already.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
The first time this happened was before I had the Paranormal pack or any kits; I didn’t immediately notice and wasn’t sure why I had lost the crystal. It happened again today with those things installed, and this time I was able to identify the cause.
