[GF] 'Work Hard' icon still present on portrait after Sim quits job for fame

This has happened to my favourite sim today and I am so frustrated I can’t fix it! I’ve had all the expansions for a while and never had this problem before. 
did you find a way to fix it?

As far as I can tell, the only real solution at present is for the sim to find another job and then complete one day's work; after which, the icon should go away.
