I have been playing without mods or cc with sims and noticed my sims stopped gaining milestone after the most recent update on 2/27/24 or 2/28/24. I played after both of these. My sims have the default milestones that generate when making a married couple (Fell in love, Got Married, First woohoo) and gained their career starting milestone after join their respective careers. I noticed upon the husband's first promotion he didn't get the first promotion milestone. But assumed it was because I was off lot when he returned home and didn't think much of it. I'm not sure if this happen before or after the update. When the two had their first baby through the hospital rabbit hole, they both didn't get a Have a child milestone. This save is very new, only made sometime in late February and I play no other households, which seemed to be the problem for other players when they switched between active households.
Update: The husband got a second promotion and was able to get the milestone. I also forgot to mention he got the cheerful discovery trait before and didn't get the milestone. I would think this was being on the home lot issue but he gained this trait while I was actively playing him at home.

Don't think there's an open one for promotions but maybe it was just a one off since you got the second one.
Did you get milestones for that trait before ? Not sure which milestones there are really. Don't play much attention to them.- @crinrict It was before the new trait was before the baby and the second promotion. And I have gotten a new self discovery milestone when sims gain traits. I'm not sure which you were asking about.
- @TheTuxedoCatSims yeah, was asking if it worked with other Sims/before the CCSP patch.
- @TheTuxedoCatSims One of my sims is a lifeguard and didn't get a milestone for the first promotion but got one for the second promotion as a "first promotion milestone".
