[GRO] Self-Sooth Quirk Not Removing

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.365.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All packs installed - Problem specifically with Growing Together
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have an infant with the 'self-soothing' quirk then age them up to a toddler.
What happens when the bug occurs? The 'self-soothing' quirk is not removed properly. Toddlers will constantly try to 'self-sooth' which causes strange glitches in their animations, and constantly brings up the 'Self-Soothing Quirk Discovered' pop-up.
What do you expect to see? The 'self-soothing' quirk does not show up again once the child has aged up from infancy.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Not sure if I'm the only one with this problem, but I guess we'll see :/

  • So far for me, this is the only quirk that has had the issue. I've had two infants so far with 3 completely different traits from each other, and the 'self-soother' one is the only one that hasn't removed. I also didn't mention it, but it only stays around in actions and pop-ups. It's not still showing as a trait for the toddler in the Simology panel, so I can't delete it from there either.

  • Here are some photos of the issue as well. I've removed all mods and cc (as well as deleted temporary files that were able to be removed) before which didn't fix it. I tried repairing the game, but that didn't make any change either. It doesn't render the game or toddler unplayable, but it's very weird and annoying for them to constantly distort and have the pop-up appear.

The exact same thing happens to me with the "frequently sneezes" quirk! i aged my infant up through cas so that might be the problem, but it's driving me NUTS

  • I'm also having this issue since the Growing Together download and most recent patch. I have no mods, no cc, and have repaired the game. I tried moving the Sim out, traveling with the Sim and bringing them back home, etc. This issue started after the notification that I could take family leave. Since then, there's no progress on the third trimester moodlet, just the comment that she is ready to have this baby and is tired of waiting. Me too, Sim. Me too.

    Hey all,

Just checking in to see if anyone is still seeing this on a modless game as we've been unable to reproduce it on our end.

If so please share your save file with us (instructions: http://x.ea.com/74420) so we can take a look.

    Thanks!
