[GTW] Alien's appearance becomes disguise

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make male human and male alien sim in CAS. Add another sim through Play With Genetics and make your sims the parents. Sometimes you'll get a normal looking alien wearing the alien outfit with a human looking disguise (these don't seem to have the problems I'm talking about). The other option will be a sim who has alien colored skin, human eyes, and human clothes. Their disguise will either pretty much look like their regular selves with different hair/clothes, or will be a standard alien. Select one of these human-eyed sims, save that family to your library, then replace the family in cas with the family you just saved.
What happens when the bug occurs? When the family loads in, the alien form of the child will be randomized into a fully alien looking sim that does not look like the child's parents. The original alien form (alien skin with human eyes) will have turned into the new disguise. The old disguise will be lost. Reloading from the library will re-randomize the alien.
What do you expect to see? The sims to look the way they are shown when they are saved to the gallery.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have no idea when this started and only caught it because I'm trying to remake a TS2 version of the Caliente family tree and when I went back to work on it I found the dad was broken. I made a few test families and it persisted across all of them.

Here's one of the tests. Male human and male alien. Child through genetics has human eyes and the disguise is the traditional alien appearance. You can tell which is Anthony's "real" appearance because you can only change aspirations/traits on the main sim, and disguises are always on top.

Below you can see his disguise has traits/aspiration grayed out and I can only change his appearance to be actually human. I end up making his disguise look human just to make things more clear.

Here they are saved in my library. Alien goes in front with disguise in back, as you can compare with the dad in the smaller image on the right side.

When I load the family back into CAS though...who's this guy?

The original alien form has now been moved to the disguise slot. It's on the top and I can't edit traits/aspiration while looking at his image. The human form with the styled look from Snowy Escape is nowhere to be found.

If I save this version of the family and bring them back into CAS, the blue form seems to persist. It seems to only be a problem if the game generates a human eyed/clothed child and you decide to pick it, which is a shame since I kind of like them and the game clearly seems to want to allow you to have them.

Yes! Sorry, I tried to look for past posts. To be a little more specific than that poster though, it ONLY happens if the hybrid sim looks like the one in my pictures with human ears, eyes, features, and clothes. If the hybrid child comes out looking like a regular alien with the default outfit and eyes and stuff, they seem to be fine.

What happens when the bug occurs? When returning to game outfit not changed
What do you expect to see? Outfit changes being applied

Have tried using dresser,  mirror, and "alter disguise" option.  Had to enable cheats and go "modify in CAS" to get changes to take effect this time(10-4-21)  solution to problem not always the same.  

I have not had any experience with plain aliens.  The affected sims are downloaded to the gallery(Rakesh).  All were conceived via abduction.  The bug also shows up if any member of the household changes outfits. Home lot does not affect this bug.  

I've read thru the forum and it provides no solution or work around.  When is "CAS" screen I've tried making both disguise and true form the same and it still does not stay when I exit out.  Any idea when this will get fixed?
