[GTW] Babies from Doctor career pregnancy events are not deleted
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.315.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the Doctor career at level 8 and above and wait for a Deliver Baby event where a pregnant sim arrives at the hospital and your task is to deliver the baby.
What happens when the bug occurs? The baby that is delivered remains existing in the game. It persists and becomes part of the sim that gave birth's household.
What do you expect to see? Usually, the delivered baby is immediately deleted, as the pregnancy isn't meant to be real - it's just an event for your doctor sims to do. This bug has flipped on and off over the years, sometimes working correctly and then breaking with a patch and then getting fixed and broken again.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I can't say when this broke because it has been a while since I played the doctor career. I'm sure last time I played maybe sometime last year, when a deliver baby event happened, the delivered baby didn't persist and keep existing in my save.
I've asked others who have said that it was working for them after Horse Ranch, so since then it seems to have broke again and the babies aren't temporary any more like they're supposed to be.
It really disrupts the stories in my game, because the event selects mothers at random and then impregnates them with a completely random father. It would be somewhat bearable if it only picked unimportant NPC sims to be mothers and defaulted to their romantic partners as the fathers, but in this case it can pick a sim from your My Households tab that should be protected, and knock them up with a rando.
