[GTW] Body hair on alien created in CAS has to be applied with every outfit

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Français
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.101.290.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Cottage Living, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Dine Out, Vampires, Jungle Adventure, StrangerVille, Cool Kitchen, Spooky Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Backyard Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff, Fitness Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Nifty Knitting Stuff, Home Chef Hustle Stuff, Desert Luxe Kit, Holiday Celebration Pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create an alien in CAS and add chest hair (or back hair, leg hair, arm hair).
What happens when the bug occurs? You will see that you also have to add the chest hair with every outfit one by one, in normal outfit and then in disguise outfit.
What do you expect to see? To add the hair chest once, and it would be there all the time, with every outfit
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

It happens when I ADD the body hair, and also when I REMOVE the body hair.
And it's not only with Sims that I create in CAS, because I tried with an alien-sim that the game created. He had chest hair, I went and tried to remove it, and I had to remove it with every outfit one by one.

Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title. Please add pack tags yourself. Thank you.

  • I have this issue as well. It doesn't just affect the alien form. It also affects the human disguise. So every time I apply body hair on my alien, I have to not only go through every outfit in their alien form, I also have to do it for their human disguise. This doesn't affect other occults and their forms. Vampires, werewolves, spellcasters and even mermaids have body hair that applies to all their outfits. It is just aliens that you have to apply to each outfit in both alien form and human disguise. It may not be game breaking, but it is a nuisance.

Here is a video showing what is being talked about. I had already applied body hair on all outfits but one to show what it looks like. It's rinse and repeat with applying body hair on every outfit for both alien form and human form.

  • Just updated my game to the 10/22/24 update. Making an alien through the new occult selector lets the body hair get applied to all outfits like normal. It seems that if you make an alien straight up, it's still having the issue where you need to apply it to every outfit.

I have been playing with an alien familly and I have noticed this too. Initially I was going through changing the body hair option on each one but then I noticed that in my CAS, that after changing say the leg hair option from the heaviest to the lightest amount of leg hair, that when I went to the next outfit, although the SIM themself showed the original leg hair (heavy) and not the one I had changed it to on the previous outfit, the actual hair option selected in the options was correct. I found myself changing it from the option I wanted to a diferent option and back again to update the SIM displaying the outfit. So I am wondering if this is partly a visual glitch where the option is being correctly applied to all outfits but it looks like it is not because the SIM display of each outfit is not being updated correctly after the change has been applied. Which makes the player feel like they need to manually update each one.

Hello @HexSpangle , it's not a visual glitch. If you apply the body hair manually to every outfit, then those changes are gonna stay.
This is true for aliens made the traditional way, and aliens born in-game.
But aliens done with the new occult-sim creator don't need to have their body hair applied to every outfit... If you change the body hair with one outfit, it stays with every outfit, like for all the other sims.  🤨
I hope they will fix this glitch soon, even if it's not a big bug that crashes the game.

@2hCreations It gets annoying when you have to apply it not just to the alien form (if you want to) but to the human form as well. I'm always afraid that I will accidentally click the wrong body hair so one of the outfits will have mismatching body hair compared to the others. I agree that it's not game breaking and may be minor, but I would love it to be fixed. I have a feeling, however, that there won't be a fix anytime soon. I mean, look how long it took to get the alien facial features bug fixed (even then, I'm still encountering a bit of the bug). I also find it interesting that of all the occults, this only affects aliens. Werewolves, vampires, mermaids (who all have 2nd forms) aren't affected and neither are spellcasters. It's just interesting.
