Not sure if this can be counted as a bug.
They are random events and random Sims are chosen.
I think this is something for the feedback forum, tbh.
The bug is that playable houses shouldn't be included in the general pool of where there random events can occur. Or at least the house should have its real inhabitants, not the random ones.
Why not ? It's not like it changes anything in your actual household. It's just a bunch of Sims that are there during the event and then they'll leave again.

While I'm not sure this is a bug either, it sure does bother me. It makes the game not as realistic for me. Like why am I treating Brytani Cho, a 4-star celebrity, at Eliza Pancake's house. I agree that the sims who actually live in the house should be the ones you're treating.

Now that so many similar careers have been added, I'm sure this isn't a bug.
