Also regarding your question about my sims inventory, not many items, I keep selling all items of stacks 99 noticed that it improves loading time.
That looks all swell.
Could you create a different Sim on your lot and give them the wormhole thingy, then make them a scientist and send to lot and try if they can enter SIXAM ?
To find out if it's the Sim or a general problem.
Just save under a new name.
