This is what I done so far
1) Created a new sim, took him to the lab, in the lab he used the wormhole, the alien world loaded and there was no crash
2) Took the old sim (the one with the problem) to the lab, the task "Travel to Alien World" was active, used the wormhole and it got stuck on load screen
3) Took the old sim to the lab, the task "Travel to Alien world" was not active, there were other tasks, used the wormhole and alien world loaded there was no problem.
4) Took the old sim to his lot, used wormhole and alien world loaded there was no problem.
To conclude, the issue occurs only if the task "Travel to Alien World" was active at work.
Or related to that old Sim.
Could you try cheat to the new sim up to the necessary level: Careers.promote <NameOfCareer>
I could of course try my best to recreate the issue using cheats but I think am just a player not a tester 🙂
I really cant put much more time into testing the game and rather enjoy playing it 🙂
