[GTW] Science Career - Travel to Alien World - STUCK

I have had the same issue. I can not travel to the alien world from the science lab. I can use the wormhole generator from my home, but when I try to use it from the lab the game gets stuck on the loading screen. The screen is not frozen, just stuck.

I am a Mac user.

No mods.

No downloaded content.

I checked my personal and household inventory as previously suggested and nothing strange.

Do you also have an exception log you could post ?

I have quite a few exception logs. Most of which indicate a problem with the household inventory, which I checked. Two of them just have an error code without stating a key error.

Did you sell everything in the household inventory ? 

Yes I did. I sold everything in my household inventory as well as all of my personal inventories.

 I ended up speaking with someone from EA and troubleshooted a few things. I ended up having to delete my entire Sims 4 folder; they suggested a had a corrupt file somewhere. So I ended up needing to start a whole new game.
