[GTW] SimRay not transforming Sim

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Upgrade your sim ray to transform Sims and then transform a Sim
What happens when the bug occurs? My scientists ( this is the 2nd scientist it’s happened with) point their ray to transform a Sim, the action happens but the Sim doesn’t change. It worked for my first scientist back in November but not for the 2nd and 3rd scientists.
What do you expect to see? The Sim change appearance.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

It worked fine with my 1st scientist. But months later it didn’t work for my next scientist. I thought maybe it was my graphics card being out of date but updating didn’t fix it. More months have passed and this is my 3rd scientist and it still isn’t transforming them. The action happens and my Sim gets credit for it but the actual transformation doesn’t occur.

    Sometimes, it is really hard to notice the difference in the target sim when you transform one because it doesn't do the same thing every time.  Sometimes, it'll change the skin tone, sometimes the hair and sometimes the only thing that changed is the target's eye color.  And it may change only 1 or 2 or all 3 of those things too.  So, you have to look closely to see what changed sometimes.  Usually, when it looks like nothing's changed, it is the eyes, or it changed the skin tone to another that was very close to color and tone of the original.  It's more or less random.
