[HR] Horses don't always disappear into the Equestrian Center

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.264.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Enter a competition from the Chestnut Ridge, Rider's Glen community board.
What happens when the bug occurs? In Chestnut Ridge, Rider's Glen. When entering a competition from the community board, my Sim and her horse goes to the vanishing point, but the horse remains visible in the world and the rider enters the competition on her own.
What do you expect to see? Horse and rider should vanish to indicate that they are both in the competition.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Horse and rider should vanish to indicate that they are both in the competition.

Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title (please add pack tags yourself, thank you, Adjusted Title)

  • And with the previous being said, I think that that resolves this issue I logged as well. The right horse chosen in the competition pop-up will follow you to the competition and not necessarily the one you are mounted on. Thanks everyone. :-)

  • I notice the horse in the picture is asleep. I’m not sure how they would have been ridden to the disappear point and then managed to fall asleep before the Sim disappeared, but were they potentially very tired? Did the Sim pause long enough that they did actually fall asleep before they could leave? I’ve heard of a variety of bugs while the horse is asleep, including this one:

Does the competition finish successfully when the horse doesn’t go?

@PipMenace I had my horse not disappear even if it wasn't sleeping so I don't know what triggers it. I was even surprised when it started to go inside at some point :D

It didn't really have any negative effects in my game so it didn't bother me.

No, I took the pic while the horse remained behind and it decided to fall asleep. I always go to competitions with my horse stats above good.

See the attachment. That is my horse with good stats and she and my Sim are in a competition. So strange :-)

Oh my goodness! When my sim returned from the competition, she and the horse I was racing with as in the attachment won Gold, but the gold medal was listed in one of my other horses profile. The horse I was racing with got no medal :-(

OK, I think I got to the solution of the last-mentioned issue of the wrong horse getting the stats, I did not realise that when clicking on the community board and entering the competition, that although I am mounted on the horse I want to take to the competition, I still have to make sure that the correct horse is selected in the competition entry pop-up. See attachment.

Note: This does not resolve the original cause of this ticket that the horse stays behind though.
