I'm on PC and also having this issue. It's making the game almost unplayable as I'm getting constant messages on being BFFs or prom dates. To the point I had a pair of teens going to prom together, but then have one of them ask again but to go only as friends! they are already going together as a couple! They were promised to each other! Then I also had them asking other people out randomly even if they had a date already or in a committed relationship with another sim. It's a hot mess!
It's so bad I can't go to a public spot without getting spammed with these prompts that I can't do anything else.
Why on earth are teens asking adult sims to be best friends and asking them to go to prom? I've also had teens ask toddlers to be best friends and go to prom with them. Also the constant NPCs that break into my sims house constantly asking to be best friends.
