What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions except High School Years. All game packs except Vampires, Realm of Magic, My Wedding Stories & Werewolves. All stuff packs except Perfect Patio, Cool Kitchen, Bowling Night, Fitness, & Moschino.None of the kits except everyday clutter, pastel pop, and desert luxe.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure as I'm not sure what triggered it.
What happens when the bug occurs? Mother can't interact with infants but other family members can.
What do you expect to see? Everyone being able to care for children
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? I had MCCC but I removed it.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No.
I'm playing the 100 Baby challenge and overnight my mother sim was unable to interact with any of the infants. I tried resetting all sims, repairing my game, moving lots, clearing my mods, resetting my computer, etc. Nothing has worked. I aged up one of my child sims to a teen and she is able to interact with the infants just fine, but when the mother tries to the "path blocked" animation plays. I also tried getting the infant to interact with the mother but no options show up, just "add to group."
**Most likely unrelated but about a sims-time-week ago someone died in my house and the grim reaper has been chillin on my lot ever since. I can't cheat him away or interact with him at all and he doesn't bother my sims he just swims or walks around the lot so I've just ignored it cause he doesn't affect the gameplay at all. I don't think this is related to my infant issue because I was still able to interact with infants while he was chillin for the better part of the sim-week, but idk.
Is anyone else having this issue?? I'm just over halfway complete the challenge so I really hope my save isn't broken beyond repair haha.
This is a known issue. You need to have someone introduce the infant or have the infant smile at her.

Thank you so much! I just aged up a newborn to an infant in a household and NONE of the adults could introduce the infant to anyone so I couldn't interact or care for the infant at all. Then I came on here and saw your post, had the baby smile at one of the adults, and now they can interact. That tip was a lifesaver - thank you!
