Issue with traits and lifestyles

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.77.146.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? EP01,EP02,EP03,EP05,EP06,EP07,EP08,EP09,EP10,FP01,GP01,GP02,GP03,GP06,GP07,SP01,SP02,SP03,SP05,SP06,SP09,SP10
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know if it is a bug or if it is intended to be that way,
What happens when the bug occurs? I don't know if it is a bug or if it is intended to be that way,
What do you expect to see? Before, sims with the trait "neat" would take the initiative to clean when something was dirty and could become uncomfortable when surrounded by dirt, but they would not go on to clean over and over without stop and polishing the same object again and again. Same for the physical activities.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I don’t know when it started exactly but it was not always like that. Sims with the trait “neat” won’t stop cleaning. They will even clean the same object over and over. At the beach, they will keep polishing the BBQ, at the bar, they will clean all the bathrooms again and again and son on. It also happens with Lifestyles. My active sim, she has the energetic Lifestyle, and she simply won’t stop exercising. It becomes annoying and forces me to remove either the lifestyle or the trait. Is it that intended to be like that?

I've noticed the same issue with neat sims.  I don't mind the cleaning dirty things but when they keep cleaning clean things it gets a bit annoying.

It does happen with every cleanable object. Now, for the lifestyle thing, you're right, I will create a different thread. I want to do some more tests before.

    Thank you

I believe the Neat Sims cleaning constantly was introduced with the "improved traits" patch.

I like that my Neat Sim becomes happy when cleaning and will autonomously do it, but it does become a bit silly when my Neat Sim in another household who's a 5 star celebrity is on an acting gig with my currently active Sim and she's late to go onstage because she's happily scrubbing the toilets.  Okay, that's actually pretty funny.  😉 But yeah, when I'm playing her with full autonomy it's like "really? cleaning again? ...if it makes you happy?"

Hi, I understand what you mean, however more than "improved traits" it looks like OCD to me! (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)
I removed the "Active" trait from my sim and replaced it with "Green friend". Now, instead of doing exercise 16 hours a day, she works on her garden 16 hours a day.
As you mention the 5 star celebrity sim cleaning the toilets, I would also highlight the fact that such obsessive behavior can make the game quite annoying. For instance, in the game I'm playing now, Jade Rosa has the neat trait. So, when my Sim was invited to join Partihaus club and started a gathering at The Narwhal Arms nightclub, Jade, who's the club leader, went to clean the bathroom over and over. It is also annoying to invite sims over and see them go all over your house to polish and clean. I started missing the "rude guest" buff from The Sims 3!
