I had this exact same situation when I added the grimborn trait to Nyon Specter.
I haven't tried with any other sims, but it's tied to the way the trait applies a grimborn trait buff on the sim, which adds a CAS part and updates the genetics of the sim. I assume that the CAS part added is the grimborn scythe birthmark on the neck, and that the intention is to add the birthmark to the sim and update the genetics so that it's permanently a part of the sim.
I assume that this is only meant to happen once, but the way it's implemented, I suspect that the buff applies the birthmark and updates the sim's genetics every time the sim is loaded/travels. I managed to add the trait and then have Nyon travel a couple of times to other lots, and every time they loaded in there was a small genetic warping that reduced his chin and narrowed the area around the pelvis. After a few times, he had no jaw or chin any more.
I managed to stop this happening by modding the buff tuning so that when it applies the CAS part, it does not do any genetic update. When I tried with that mod applied, then I noticed that Nyon was fine after travelling now and his body did not distort.
So that's why I think this bug is related to the grimborn trait buff and the way it applies the CAS part. I don't think that's probably the solution for EA though. I'd probably like to test it more or try alternative methods, such as seeing if I can get the buff to only apply the birthmark once ever, and if the game sees that there's already one on the sim then it ignores making any genetic changes. That's what I think is supposed to happen.
I'm not really sure why applying a neck birthmark multiple times would warp the jaw and pelvic area though. Maybe it's down to how they made the birthmark and on the sim they originally made it for, they had no chin and a thin pelvis, and somehow that genetic info is in that CAS part, which in that case the easy fix would be to update that CAS part so it doesn't change those body areas? I have no idea, because I'm not a CAS part creator or how that works.

I wonder if this could be fixed, by having the Grimborn and the Grim descendant traits become like occult staus instead of traits. But then again, this issue doesn't happen with the "Father Winter's Baby" or "Sulani Mana" traits, so I am curious as to why it's only the Grimborn trait that is affected.- Stolen_Recaros4 months agoRising Newcomer
That sounds super plausible as the source of the issue.
