Same issue for me; I opened a packet of starter flower seeds at a cemetery but no death flower.  I'm now trying to rack my brains about how else I can get one (apart from spending ages grafting one) so that my sim can finish the tarot card quest!

    @JuniperWhimsy if you don't want to use cheats (i.e. bb.showhiddenobjects), and your sim can't buy Farmer's seed packets, I have a room on the gallery with a death flower (and other ambrosia ingredients).

    Also, in addition to getting one from the mysterious rancher if you have Horse Ranch (which was mentioned above), if you have Realm of Magic they sometimes sell them at Castor Alley at Magic HQ.
