[LD] [PS/XB] Can't click on genetics options after Rebirth

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PlayStation 5
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? SP43: 1.assets.live2-sp43.36
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except for luxury party stuff and journey to batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Enter rebirth on console and click on the genetics button that appears over the rebirthed sim’s icon.
What happens when the bug occurs? You are unable to click on any of the rebirth genetics options, the cursor will instead jump between the sim’s icon and the personality icon instead of locking onto the genetics screen until the check is clicked.
What do you expect to see? Rebirth genetics should work in the same way as the other genetics button.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

    @cmfatvczel4h    Hello!  Thanks for creating this thread.  I too was not able to use the genetics menu after rebirth on PS5.  I tested it with the Hoapili household in Sulani. First, I completed Keala's soul's journey on PC, then saved the household and loaded them into a PS5 game.  Keala died from being struck by a meteor while stargazing.  I selected rebirth into the Kahananui household.    

    The genetics option was available.

    But when I selected that option, I was not able to click anything in that UI.  Using the arrow buttons and the left analog stick kept highlighting everything on screen except for the Genetics menu options.

    EDIT:  One more thing ... saving the household was "Disabled while playing with Genetics"

    This is not a solution but, as a workaround for now, I was able to access the Genetics UI on PS5 with a keyboard and mouse.

    Any "plug and play" keyboard and mouse should work when connected to the ports in the back of the system (for PS4 and PS5).  I have a wireless keyboard and mouse set (both use the same USB transmitter) that I got for around $30USD.  There are some available for around $20USD.

    @jordyou23 Could you please share some more details ? There are a couple of issues with rebirth and I'm not sure what you mean with generic ?

    Are you using mods/cc ? What platform are you playing on ?

    @crinrict I tried to fill one out with all the questions on it. but it would not let me post it. I play on a ps5

    @jordyou23 You can copy the template from any post that has it but you might not need if it it's the same others have reported.

    To me it's unclear what your issue is though as I don't know what you mean by generic.
