[ARCHIVED] [LD] Relationships lost with sims after rebirth

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Tiny Living, Snowy Escape, Seasons, Romantic Garden, Paranormal, Outdoor Retreat, My First Pet, Modern Luxe, Luxury Party, Laundry Day, Jungle Adventure, Island Living, Home Chef Hustle, Holiday Celebration, High School Years, Greenhouse Haven, Fashion Street kit, Everyday Clutter, Eco Lifestyle, For Rent, Dream Home Decorator, Discover University, Desert Luxe, Cottage Living, City Living, Cats and Dogs, Book Nook, Blooming Rooms, Backyard Stuff, Life & Death
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim reborn and check relationship panel
What happens when the bug occurs? Relationships between sims are reset/lost
What do you expect to see? Sims with a previously close relationship should keep the "familiar" relationship buff with the reborn sim.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Since installing Life & Death

My sim was reborn and originally kept their relationships from the previous life, once I restarted the game next time I was playing, their relationships had reset- their child and spouse from their previous life no longer have the "familiar" relationship buff with the new sim they were reborn into.

    OMG I THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY! I'm experiencing the same thing and both of my reborn sims never got the reborn milestone either.

    I don't know if it affects sims reborn into different families. I got the familiar buff in one save when the sim was reborn into the same household as his family. In another save, when having him reborn in a different family, he didn't get a familiar buff when meeting his sister from his previous life. I would have thought that it would work for sims reborn outside their family as the buffs for each aging up implies for them to search for people in their pasts lives and "reconnecting". When I do this, however, I don't get that familiar buff nor does it appear in the view relationship tab. Not sure if this is intentional or a bug.

    @DracuAlice2017 Yess exactly!! I made a married couple with a teenage daughter and the couple died and rebirthed as teens in other households and I aged up their past life daughter to elder. When the wife was reborn first she did have the "strange connection" buff with the husband who had yet to pass away but after he died and was reborn the buff disappeared. Neither of them have the "Odd familiarity" buff with their previous daughter.

    I think it is a bug because of the buff description implying that they feel like they've known a complete stranger in a previous life. I wonder why this isn't talked about enough
