Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simply put the washing machine and the hamper out and try
What happens when the bug occurs? it only have "Upgrade" option
What do you expect to see? Many options to work the machine properly
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I just bought the laundry day package, and it turned out the only options of the washing machine and the hamper was "Upgrade", please fix it!!!!
I've searched through internet about this bug, and tried all solutions but in vain.

You have to put the laundry in the washing machine first. There should be an option on the hamper to do that once you have stuff in it.

Nooo, neither the washing machine nor the hamper have the option to choose wash clothes, when i click on the washing machine or the hamper, it only allows me to upgrade it and doesnt have any other options…
I can confirm this bug, in any save, with or without mods, it happens in certain random conditions when the washing machine has clothes and there's a lot change, or household rotation, and the washing machine loses the clothes inside. Then it wrongly assumes there are clothes and allows the interaction to start washing, and if a butler, maid or a Sim autonomously starts the washing machine, it'll finish the cycle and get stuck with only the Upgrade option. Sometimes the Upgrade option will be greyed out telling there are clothes inside and not even moving the washing machine to the household inventory will fix this: just selling and buying another one will be the solution. As the washing machine assumes it has clothes inside, it'll not have options to add clothes from any clothing pile or hamper. If you move clothes inside the washing machine before you start washing, because it's actually empty, it'll work correctly and the bug won't show up.
