What do you expect to see? Items can normally be placed pretty much infinitely near each other with the bb.moveobjects cheat on. The replies from @FinalBossNyuma and @stjmk (replies #13-#15) explain more of the details of my bug very well, as FinalBossNyuma seems much better at explaining it than I! I think the weirdest thing is that it is problems that have never occurred before with MOO on. MOO used to give you absolute freedom to the point of being able to make your build absolutely ridiculous, lol, but now there just seems to be so many restrictions that don't make sense.I will download your lot tonight, then share one of my own for you and let you know when it's done. Thanks so much for your help!I will say that I definitely am aware of the shenanigans with the stairs, and enlarging objects/using debug items. Unfortunately the issue seems to happen on any lot, even without any of the aforementioned triggers. But still, maybe there is something I've missed! Thanks so much, like I said I'll upload a lot ASAP 🙂 oh, PS: FinalBossNyuma explained this well, but I'll just say that the problem tends to occur when first building the home, rather than making changes, i.e: changing the wallpaper or moving something still randomly puts items in to my inventory like you said, but that isn't exactly the problem. It's when first placing items that it says "can't intersect" and refuses to place something, rather than randomly deciding a piano in a different room doesn't fit anymore and placing it in the inventory. Hope that makes sense!

@FinalBossNyumaI found the same thing at one point in patches over the last year or so – that the 'under stairs' options for functional use changed. I had one lot where the stairs were suddenly deleted by a low half wall under the taller edge of them that had previously been fine. I can't remember if there was a game functionality/feature change that I guessed matched up with it at the time, but I think there was. I had to remove the offending wall and redesigned the area a bit to adjust for the changes.Over the years there have been a number of these changes with a patch... where a new game functionality effected some type of unconventionally-placed (such as MOO or alt-placed) item within a build I made. But some aspects seemed to have loosened up recently in this regard – particularly with regards to Sim-interaction limitations with some of these items.I would recommend that you fully update your game, as if your game is not up to date there may be one or more glitch(es) that was/were fixed that may or may not have been listed in patch notes but that could be affecting your game. I would also recommend that you do a game repair afterward, and clear out your cache in case anything glitchy is snagged up in the game cache also. Altogether it would be a housecleaning of sorts. @sunstarsims As @stjmk said, that is not right. But it does sound like the same issue that deleted platforms cause. So maybe the workaround that is used for that will work for you.Try saving the lot to your library. Then bulldoze the lot and replace the build with the copy from your library.You could also try shutting the game down and restarting. While you are shut down, delete the localthumbcache file too. That sometimes fixes problems.Hope this helps.

@sunstarsims I just went into my latest build. It's a tiny home with TONS of alt-placement, MOO and height adjustment used. I just spot-checked several things on the lot (ie - the plant on the picnic table and I think the basket also have to be placed using MOO and height adjustment) and everything I checked worked as normal. @sunstarsims Moveobjects doesn't usually allow alt-placement on countertops, shelves, etc. that have snap points. Stuff will still snap on those.

Only way to get free placement is to move countertops, shelves, etc. out of the way and alt-place the objects you want where you want, then put countertops, shelves, etc. back.

It isn't just countertops and shelves, it's anywhere in a room. Should have mentioned that in the original.

Have you tried exiting the game and coming back to it? And if that doesn't do it, maybe try repairing the game through Origin.

@sunstarsims I’m also experiencing this on console since a recent update & was wondering if my game was glitching or if, due to the new window placement feature &/or the inclusion of platforms, bb.moveobjects had been intentionally nerfed. I’d previously had no issues whatsoever with moving a counter(s) out of the way to avoid the placement snapping, then raising my desired objects to counter-level & having them in very close proximity to each other - such as putting a soap dispenser or toothbrush from the showliveedit menu right next to or directly onto where a sink would be - & then replacing the counter(s). I can no longer do that now.
Not to mention that also, just exactly as you’ve said & countertops aside, any items placed with bb.moveobjects in general are now extremely sensitive to other nearby objects as well as lot editing. I’ve had things such as exterior columns & flower boxes outside a home disappear & unable to be replaced due to mundane objects that were on the opposite side of the wall, inside of the home. So now I must be careful to determine build layouts & wall paints before furnishing & cluttering, because if I do the latter first with bb.moveobjects enabled & then decide to make any changes to the former afterward, a quarter to half of all my thoughtfully placed furnishings & decorations will disappear.

This is EXACTLY what happens to me, too! You've just described it in even more detail than I did. And it definitely did used to work to put items on a shelf/surface as close as you wanted by just raising the item up. But now they're just so sensitive to nearby items, it is so weird. bb.moveobjects used to make it possible to literally place any item anywhere, even if it made no sense to place it there! 😃
And you're right, it has appeared like they've intentionally made bb.moveobjects pretty useless, but I don't know why they would do that?
It has been happening since the last update too, interesting to know it's not just on PC. Very strange!
