I do currently have MCC in my mods folder so I am not sure how valid my observations are but I noticed that outside of the wedding ceremony my sims can cut the cake just fine when it is placed on the center slot of any normal (4 seats) dining table. During the ceremony the option is given but the second sim just won‘t react to it. When you try to place a preselected wedding cake on a table via the pie menu during the wedding ceremony, it is also not placed properly and the interaction is greyed out.
In general it seems to me that a lot of the wedding interactions work fine unless you start the actual ceremony event. I was building a venue (a park) to have a wedding at and while building-and-testing most things worked (sending sims down the aisle or cutting the cake for example) which absolutely didn’t work anymore when I started the actual ceremony.

I tried MCC but it just breaks my game more lmao. Outside of the event, the interaction is still broken for me or greyed out. Yes, during the ceremony I had the wife sim try to cut the cake, but the husband wouldn't react to it, but I did not select it as my wedding cake for the ceremony because when I do, the cake disappears and never comes back for the ceremony. It won't even show up on the planning menu for the actual wedding. Sending sims down the isle kinda worked..I had both sims go down but they would just walk back up immediately.

Hi @LuwunasMelody you probably did this already, but just in case, did you remove the cake topper before trying to cut the cake?

@mightyspritesims I actually didn't try it before at the wedding, I tried it on their home lot with both the gray fountain and square/round table but I got the same result
