My Sim can't cook, shower or sit on the couch

I recently started to play sims 4 again but after the sim editor, almost nothing works. I can't cook something (garden salad won't work / Grilled cheese won't work etc.) They buy it and then it disappears or just lays on the ground and I can't continue. They also play computergames and don't even sit at the computer. They can't sit on the couch. They can't shower. It's frustrating to even open the game because it is so broken. I reinstalled it and it doesn't change anything.
