So I have a sim family and their oldest child recently became a young adult. I wanted her to be a painter so I had her get that job before she moved out and then moved her out and got her her own house and such. I started playing her and she went to work for the first time and started leveling up her artistic skill with her easel that she bought. Well she's now level 3 in the painter career and I noticed that she didn't have any of the career unlocks in her family inventory. I went back to her original home where her mom and brother still live and sure enough the unlocks are in their family inventory. I'll be honest I don't know if this is a bug or if this is happening because when she got that job she was still living there, but she didn't unlock any of those things while she was living there so I'm unsure why the painter career unlocks are in that family inventory and not her own. She didn't even go to work once while she was still living at her old house. It just didn't seem right and I couldn't find anything online about this happening so I thought I'd ask here and see if it's actually a bug or just some weird game mechanic. Thanks.

if she didn't unlock them while she was living at the old house, it does sound off and like it shouldn't happen.
Did you have any other Sims in that career in your old household ? Are you sure there weren't in the inventory when she left ?
No, she's the only one in the painter career in her family. Her mother is in the gardening career and her brother is still a teenager so he can't have that job. Her father was a writer, but he passed away. When I saw them in the family inventory they were marked as new unlike everything else that was in there so they must have appeared recently.
