I've tried this on multiple sims but cannot reproduce. I have the AMD Radeon Pro 560 4Gb, running Mojave 10.14.5. Which version of macOS are you running?
Hope this helps. 🙂

Mojave too, thanks. Have you repaired your game in Origin? If that doesn't fix it please move your whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop then re-launch your game. It will be like new as all your saves etc. are in the folder you moved. Play a household and take selfies to see if it still occurs.- DizzyDee-K7 years agoSeasoned Ace

I've been having this problem randomly since the IL patch. I've reset and repaired, but I don't know if that really fixes the issues or it just randomly goes away. Sometimes traveling fixes it. Sometimes having the effected sims move to a different spot on the lot or in the area fixes it. I play rotationally and haven't checked this with all my Sims, so don't know if it's specific to certain households or not. First noticed this when playing with my Sim who sells his photos at a retail lot.
Here's a sim taking a "selfie." You can see her in the mirror, but not in the foreground.

Thus far it SEEMS to work. I'll keep an eye on it. Thank you for your help!
