I'm playing a 100 baby challenge right now, so there's a lot of school project work going on, but I've noticed a strange thing:
if the mom is not home (aka home lot is not the active lot, the gameplay is in a spa or gym or some such) when the kids/teens return from school on Mondays, they don't get school projects with them. No pop-ups, and no school projects in their inventories. If mom is home when they return from school on Mondays, they bring the school projects with them just as they should.
I have all the packs, the save is new (started January 2021), I use two mods, neither of which affects sim behavior: SimsInfo & NoMosaicBlur.
You can buy the projects with the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat. Testingcheats true>bb.showhiddenobjects then search for projects in build mode.
